North East London Social Care Changemakers

Care Providers Voice (CPV) and Care City are launching a new movement in North East London: Social Care Changemakers.
Do you live or work in North East London and believe in a better future for care? Then this is for you.
What is Social Care Changemakers?
Social Care Changemakers is about giving things a go. It’s about experimenting, taking action, and making real change happen, at pace.
We want to work alongside the people, neighbourhoods, communities, providers, and organisations already leading change across North East London. Our aim is to:
- Create change towards a collective vision of the care we would all want for ourselves and the ones we love
- Connect local efforts and individuals already making change happen
- Share learning about what’s working and what we can improve
- Create space to try new ideas and learn by doing – together
Why Now?
We know that there are amazing things happening in our community across NEL that are starting to shape a different way of doing things in care. We don’t need to wait for an NHS Plan or a report on how social care needs to change. This idea is about bringing together people already doing, people agitating to be part of doing things differently and who want to be part of something bigger.
What We Need
We need you. If you have thoughts on what needs to change, or what a brilliant care experience in NEL needs to be, we’d love to hear from you.
How to get involved
We’re hosting informal sessions at 360 Workrooms in Barking every few weeks. These are relaxed meet-ups where you can connect with others, share what matters to you, and get involved. The next meeting takes place on Tuesday 9th September from 12:30 – 14:00
Whether you’re drawing on care and support, delivering care, or just want to help shape the future, we’d love to meet you.
