Jonathan Flowers
Jonathan has several years experience in executive leadership positions in social and tech for good organisations and in local government where he was Director of Culture Change in a London Borough and then Deputy Chief Executive of a County Council
Jonathan’s time in the system has been followed by a number of roles supporting the system to change – addressing leadership issues in a Director role at Veredus, and then looking at rationalisation and innovation opportunities in a local government facing role at Capita.
A highlight includes six years as a Strategic Adviser helping FutureGov grow and land its innovative practices in local government.
Jonathan has already worked with a local social enterprise in the area and is experienced at providing governance to organisations that have social purpose baked in. Other recent experience includes:
- Non-exec chair of the public sector digital company dxw,which was employee-ownedChaired SocietyWorks (the trading arm of the charity mySociety), and audit or finance committees at City Lit, Rothamsted Research, St Albans City Council, in addition to a range of other non-exec roles.
- A Certificate in Company Direction (distinction) from the Institute of Directors, of which he is a Fellow, and an MBA from London Business School.
